Which drip bags are less sour?

If you don't like sour coffee, choose a medium roast with chocolate or nut notes. These have the lowest acidity on our list (all formats: less sour coffee):

How to brew a drip bag

  1. Tear the top along the dotted line and open the paper hangers.
  2. Hang the bag on a cup of 200 ml or more, so it doesn't sit in the coffee.
  3. Wet it first: pour a little hot water, just enough to wet the coffee, and wait about 20 seconds.
  4. Pour slowly in 3 or 4 rounds until you have about 150–180 ml. Water just off the boil, around 90 °C, works well.
  5. Take the bag out after about 2 minutes. For a stronger cup use less water; for a lighter one, a bit more.

Each bag holds 8–11 g of coffee, so one bag makes one cup. If the box has its own instructions, follow those first.

Are 濾掛 and 掛耳 the same thing?

Yes. Both words mean a one-cup coffee bag that hangs on your cup. 濾掛咖啡 is the word most people in Taiwan search for; 掛耳咖啡 is the same product.

How much should one drip bag cost?

Which drip bags work for the office?

Can I drink drip bags after the best-before date?

The date is about flavor. A sealed, dry bag past the date usually just tastes flatter. If it smells off or got damp, throw it away.
